Lily Allen is obsessed with Pokemon Go' - and has been hunting for them at the Church of Scientology Celebrity Center in Hollywood.

The 31-year-old singer has become hooked on the mobile augmented reality game and has been spending as much time as possible catching the creatures while out and about.

Lily has been sharing her new passion with her fans on her Twitter page, keeping them up-to-date with her progress with the Pokemon.

The 'Smile' hitmaker spent Sunday looking for Pokemon in Los Angeles and found herself drawn to the Church of Scientology Celebrity Center.

Posting a screen grab of her playing the game with the Scientology building on display, she tweeted: "Just at church #Sunday (sic)"

Lily - who has two daughters, Ethel, four, and three-year-old Marnie, with her estranged husband Sam Cooper - loves the Nintendo game because "Pokemon is pure escapism".

However, the pop star has not found it easy and was sent into a panic when she lost Ponyta, a fire Pokemon, but she managed to grab the equine character again.

Lily was also thrilled when caught rat-like Pokemon Raticate.

She also shared other catches, tweeting: "Caught a charmander and a weedle. Gonna do an incense an go to sleep in 30 (sic)"

However, the game has been so phenomenally successful that the servers have struggled to cope with demand, and Lily was not immune to this, as she posted a screenshot from Pokemon that read: "Our servers are humbled by your incredible response. We are working to resolve this issue. Please try again soon," a development she described as "unacceptable"

Lily is not the first celebrity to become obsessed with 'Pokemon Go' with Ellen DeGeneres, Chrissy Teigen, Demi Lovato, Steve Aoki and Soulja Boy also posting about the game sensation on social media.
