Nicollette Sheridan has filed for divorce - six months after tying the knot.

According to legal documents obtained by gossip website TMZ, the former 'Desperate Housewives' star has split from husband Aaron Phypers just half a year into their marriage.

The documents state that the pair went their separate ways a month ago.

While there was recent speculation Aaron might be considering popping the question, it was not known the pair were already married.

The 52-year-old actress - who was married to Mad Men's Harry Hamlin from 1991 to 1993 - is said to have asked the judge to reject a claim for spousal support should Aaron make one.

Nicollette dated former child star Leif Garrett from 1979 to 1985 before marrying Harry in September 1991 after the pair starred in 1990 TV movie 'Deceptions'.

Sadly, their marriage didn't last and he filed for divorce in August 1992.

The blonde beauty got engaged to personal trainer Nicklas Söderblom on New Year's Eve 2004 but they called off their engagement in October 2005.

Over the next three years, Nicollette returned to two ex-boyfriends.

Firstly, she reunited with Simon Main - who she had dated in 1997 - after he got out of prison for drug dealing, and then Michael Bolton, who she was with for five years from 1992.

Nicollette and Michael got engaged in March 2006 but they broke off their engagement in August 2008.
