Chris Pratt is having his "dream summer".

The 37-year-old actor has had a hectic year shooting three movies, 'Passengers', 'The Magnificent Seven' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2' so he is thrilled to finally be back at home and spending quality time with wife Anna Faris and their three-year-old son Jack.

He said: "It was 14 months on the road, so it's nice not to have time to myself but to have time with my family.

"It's been really great and a very much a needed thing so we're thrilled.

"We're fishing, crabbing, having fires, sitting around having dinner together, it's just been great, the dream summer that we've all been waiting for."

But Chris doesn't mind having to interrupt his time off to promote his movies at events like San Diego Comic-Con, where he took part in a 'Guardians of the Galaxy' panel earlier this weekend, because he "really likes" talking about himself.

Speaking at the event, he told People magazine: "This part is really grueling for a lot of people, I don't find it to be super grueling. It's kind of a natural fit for me, I really like talking about myself.

"I was a door-to-door salesman for a long time, so walking into a roomful of strangers and talking about something I am enthusiastic about is a lot easier than walking into a room full of strangers and talking about something I don't care about. Luckily I'm really enthusiastic about this movie so it makes it really easy."

And the actor is equally proud of all his upcoming movies.

He said: "I think you should be equally excited about all three of them.

"They're all different and they're all great."
