Jamie Oliver has been forced to convert his £10 million mansion into two houses after it failed to sell.

The 41-year-old celebrity chef bought two adjoining houses in London's Primrose Hill for £7.5 million in the 2000s, which he converted into a single 10 bedroom abode with three kitchens and six bathrooms, but after moving out he has been unable to find a buyer willing to pay £12 million for his home and has been advised to return the property to its original form and divide the building back into two in a bid to sell the property, according to the Mail Online.

The 'Naked Chef' star and his former model wife Jools - who have children Poppy, 13, Daisy, 12, Petal, six, Buddy, five, and a newborn baby boy whose name has not yet been revealed - are now set to fork out more money to undo all of their hard work on the various extensions to enable them to get the property off of their hands.

Jamie has reportedly sent Camden Council plans to re-fit a guest en suite bathroom, and transform one bedroom into a communal bathroom.

It is also believed the culinary mastermind will remove arched openings to the kitchen, knock down the partition walls to create a kitchenette, and create a play room, a wine cellar, a boudoir and multiple storage areas.

And it is believed the couple - who married in 2000 - were planning to relocate when their home, which neighbours 'Top Gear' presenter Chris Evans and 'Britain's Got Talent' judge David Walliams, was targeted by burglars in October last year.

The duo discovered thieves had broken into their house whilst they were staying at their country manor house in Essex, which Jamie bought in 2015 for £8.95 million and is currently receiving a make-over, and stole electrical appliances.
