Every $10 donation is a chance to win the outfit I wear at the MTV VMAs or a trip to meet me in NYC for the show! (sic) The 34-year-old singer later thanked her 47.2 million followers for their "support" helping to rebuild the lives of the people of Louisana who fell victim to the floods earlier this month.

She added: "Thank you all for the support for my @crowdrise campaign with @RedCross benefitting the Louisiana flood victims (sic)"

One of the biggest supporters are boyband Backstreet Boys, who took to Twitter to praise the blonde beauty for helping.

Britney re-tweeted their message, which read: "Love what our girl @britneyspears is doing to help those in need in Louisiana! (sic)"

Britney announced she was performing at the VMAs by sharing a teaser video with Britney items, including her red 'Oops I Did It Again'
