Paris Hilton loves to prove to people that she's more than just her "that's hot" catchphrase.

The 35-year-old star is a hugely successful businesswoman with her own perfumes, cosmetics line and clothing range, while she is also one of the most in-demand DJs in the world.

Despite all her achievements, Paris is still stereotyped as the dumb blonde with a "baby" voice who appeared with Nicole Richie in 'The Simple Life' but that just inspires her to achieve even more.

Discussing her bimbo persona in an interview for OnlyOnAol, she said: "I find it really interesting. It makes me laugh because people expect me to walk in and speak like a baby and say, 'That's hot.' A lot of people are very surprised and blown away. I love that. There are so many misconceptions about me. It feels good to prove people wrong. It's a nice feeling."

Paris' drive comes from her father Rick Hilton and grandfather Barron Hilton - who took over the Hilton Hotels Corporation from his dad Conrad Hilton.

The socialite wasn't prepared to just live the life of a Hollywood party girl spending her family's fortune and was determined to earn her own cash and build her own legacy.

She explained: "Since a young age, I've looked up to my father and grandfather. I always wanted to build my own brand. I want to be known for myself, for Paris. There's a lot of trust-fund kids who don't work at all. I want to do something on my own. Success drives me. It gets me excited. I can't stop being creative. I love what I do. I'm passionate about my brand."
