Ellen DeGeneres has created an all-female 'Magic Mike' "reboot".

The talk show host decided to mark Channing Tatum's upcoming appearance on the season 14 premiere of her talk show - on which he will offer a sneak peek at his 'Magic Mike Live' Las Vegas show - by staging a parody of the hit stripper movie, and drafted in the actor's wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum, along with Chrissy Teigen and Olivia Munn, to star alongside her.

In a teaser clip, the 58-year-old star joked: "'Magic Mike' was a huge, huge hit - so big that they're actually doing an all-female reboot because you know, they're doing that with everything'

"They did 'Ghostbusters' and 'Ocean's Eleven' and thanks to Channing, I get to show you the exclusive sneak peek."

In the clip, Ellen plays the titular Magic Michelle, with Jenna as Peppermint, Chrissy as Linda Peterson and Olivia as Honeydew, and the four women were seen bumping and grinding across the floor as Ginuwine's 'Pony' played in the background.

And there was a further surprise in store as Oprah Winfrey made a shock appearance doing the splits - though her face was superimposed over someone else's body.

A voiceover referenced Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and said: "This fall, Hillary's not the only one bringing women to the polls."

Ellen - who is married to Portia di Rossi -admitted shooting the clip had given her a "new respect" for strippers as filming had left her in agony.

She quipped: "We spent a lot of time shooting that, and then my knees spent a lot of time recovering. For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to have Jenna teach me some dance moves, so she kept telling me to drop it down low - now my down low hurts really, really bad."

Channing, Oprah, and gymnast Simone Biles will be Ellen's guests when her show returns on 6 September.
