Justin Bieber hopes to release unheard tracks he wrote with Kanye West.

The 22-year-old pop megastar is currently taking time out from his 'Purpose World Tour' and has been rehearsing and hanging out at his Los Angeles home with his manager Scooter Braun and Usher.

Justin and Kanye spent some time in the studio together in 2015 laying down tracks with a "New York vibe" but none of the songs made their way onto his album 'Purpose' or Kanye's LP 'The Life of Pablo' but the singer is hopeful they will be heard in the future.

During an interview with UK station BBC Radio 1 to launch Live Lounge Month on Thursday (01.09.16), Justin was asked whether the tracks will make it out of the vaults, to which he teased: "I don't know ... maybe ... hope so."

Justin, who worked with Kanye on his 'Never Say Never' - The Remixes album, first met the hip hop star a couple of years ago.

But unusually for a Kanye encounter, that initial hook-up with the 'Stronger' singer wasn't memorable.

Justin - who was interviewed by Clara Amfo and Nick Grimshaw for the segment - said: "I forget how I met him but we just clicked and vibed - it was cool. We made a bunch of stuff."

The 'Sorry' hitmaker also revealed there are other songs he's written himself over the years that might be worth going back to but that he "hadn't really thought about" uncovering the tracks before.

Justin has enjoyed a string of hits all over the globe from 'Purpose' and is currently riding high with fresh track 'Cold Water' - his collaboration with Major Lazer and MO - and every success makes him very proud.

He said: "It feels unbelievable. I put so much effort into the process of writing and making the songs, it feels good to get the recognition for sure. Just to know people are liking it, smiling and having a good time listening to it and feel good.
