Michael Jackson fans believe he is still alive - after claiming he can be seen in the background of a selfie take by his daughter Paris Jackson.

The King of Pop was dec lared dead in June 2009 at the age of 50 due to acute Propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication.

However, fans have now taken to social media to dec lare their hero lives after claiming they spotted him sat in the backseat of 18-year-old Paris' car in a photograph she posted on her Instagram account back in May.

The photo is captioned: "If you give a little love, you get a little love of your own."

Although the shadow in the background is supposed to be a pile of clothes fans are speculating it is in fact the 'Thriller' hitmaker in disguise, due to his trademark hat that is clearly visible.

One fan has even created a YouTube video to highlight exactly where in the photo they claim to have seen the musician. The video was posted by YouTube user BeLIEve, who often posts videos claiming that the 'Bad' musician is still alive.

Michael died shortly before he was due to take to the stage at The O2 in London for his 'This Is It' concert residency.

His personal physician Conrad Murray was jailed for the involuntary manslaughter of the music legend after administering a fatal dose of anaesthetic Propofol.

Murray has now written a book entitled 'This Is It! The Secret lives of Dr. Conrad Murray and Michael Jackson' and he is adamant the conviction was unfair because Michael was a serious drug abuser and he was not aware he was using the painkiller Demerol and sleeping aid Midazolam when he was under his care, which were a major contribution factor to his passing.

Conrad, 63, insists if he had known the true extent of Michael's drug use he would never have given him Propofol which he pleaded for to help him sleep as the stress of rehearsing for his booked concerts became too much for him to cope with. Instead he would have got him into a drug rehab facility.

The medical expert told BANG Showbiz: "I was very disappointed in Michael and hurt because he did not tell me the truth (about his drug use). Had he told me I would have wanted to rehab him. I would have helped him, in the same way I am interested in helping other human beings.

"I learnt more about Michael's drug abuse after he passed away ... I think that the Demerol thing may have started with the Pepsi commercial, the day he burnt his head and was injured. It is very easy to give someone a narcotic and the next thing they are hooked ... I have had patients who came in with broken bones after a motor vehicle accident and you use Demerol for the pain. We gave them anywhere from an average of 25 to 75 milligrams of Demerol based upon their weight and that patient's pain would be totally resolved and they would be relaxed, even with broken bones. Now, if you look at the records that were published in the trial, and it's also on my website, Doctor Murray Talks, you will see Michael was taking upwards of 975 milligrams of Demerol daily in addition to Midazolam."
