Beyonce celebrated her birthday until 5am.

The 'Hold Up' singer threw a Soul Train-themed party in New York City on Monday, a day after she turned 35, and guests including her sister Solange Knowles, former Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, June Ambrose, Carmelo Anthony, LaLa Anthony, Swizz Beatz, Cassie, Chance the Rapper, P Diddy, The-Dream, Jourdan Dunn, Chanel Iman, Alicia Keys, Kendrick Lamar, Joan Smalls and Usher kept the fun going for hours.

Beyonce's four-year-old daughter Blue Ivy stole the show when she got on the mic and said, "Happy Birthday mommy", to which the entire crowd said "awwww", as depicted on Usher's snapchat.

The birthday girl arrived in a daring tan wrap-around top with shorts and gold heels, but later changed into a shiny, colourful one-legged jumpsuit.

Beyonce later thanked her guests for coming, and singled out her husband, Jay Z, for a special thank you.

According to E! News, she said: "Thank you, everybody, for coming. You guys did such an incredible job committing, and I'm so happy to be here."

She then said to Jay: "Thank you, baby."

The 'Crazy in Love' singer has also thanked her fans for their birthday messages.

She wrote on Instagram: "I just want to say thank you to everyone for all the beautiful and thoughtful birthday wishes. I am so fortunate to have the love and support of my family, my friends, and my hive. We've grown up together and you guys continue to inspire and motivate me everyday.

"I'm so grateful for every challenge, every smile, every tear, every discovery, every sacrifice, every triumph, every stretch mark, every kiss, every scar. I strive to make you proud.

    I love YOOOUUUU!!! "

Kelly previously revealed she'd splashed out on diamonds for her friend's birthday gift.

She said: "Well, diamonds are a girl's best friend. I got her diamonds!"

Beyonce had spent her actual birthday at the Made in America festival in Philadelphia, which was set up by her husband.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin - who worked with the pop beauty on 'Hymn For The Weekend' - said during his performance at the festival: "We want to say happy birthday to Mrs. Carter who is out here somewhere. Can you believe she is 107 years old? Happy birthday Bey."

And other stars including Kim Kardashian West, Mariah Carey, and Nicki Minaj took to social media to send birthday greetings to the 'Formation' hitmaker.

Laverne Cox dec lared the day "Bey Day" when she tweeted: "#HappyBeyDay Happy Birthday @Beyonce I have been singing #Freedom all week. It just feels like we need this song right now. (sic)"

The 'Run The World' musician marked the special day by sharing the music video for her song 'Hold Up' with her fans.
