Sofia Vergara didn't want to date Joe Manganiello at first because he was "too hot"

Despite the pair - who first met in July 2014 - arguably being one of the most attractive couples in Hollywood, the 44-year-old 'Modern Family' star has admitted she had reservations about dating the 'Magic Mike' actor, 39, because she "didn't want to deal" with how attractive he was.

Speaking to Harry Connick Jr. on talk show 'Harry' on Friday (23.09.16), she said: "When he started trying to convince me to go out with him, I didn't want to go out with him because of that. I don't want to deal with that, I am too old now to be with a guy that all the girls are like after him.

"'You're too hot, this is going to be so much work.' I'm not kidding. I didn't want to go out with him because of how hot he was."

However, eventually Sofia did take a chance on Joe and by Christmas Day of 2014 - after just six months of dating - the 'Spider-Man' actor got down on one knee and proposed.

Almost a year after their engagement, the pair tied the knot in Palm Beach, Florida, in November 2015.

Elsewhere, the 'Hot Pursuit' actress talked about her morning routine and how she always manages to be late despite waking up at 5am.

She said: "I wake up super early. I have to be on the set, I have to wake up at five o'clock. My routine is to try and get out of the house before I'm late because I'm Latina and there's something in our blood that our schedule gets messed up."
