Kate Hudson wants to date a "really hot" guy who looks like Brad Pitt

The 37-year-old actress - who split from former fiancé Matt Bellamy in 2014 after four years together - is keen to go out with an attractive guy, and admitted the Hollywood hunk, who has split from wife Angelina Jolie, is "very handsome".

She said: "You know what I really want right now? Honestly - I'm just gonna be honest - I want [a] funny [guy]. Funny makes me happy. But I just want someone really hot!

"Like, I just want, like, a hot guy right now. Not quite for life, you know."

When asked on Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show if she'd like to hook up someone as good looking as the 'Big Short' actor - who Angelina filed for divorce from last week - the blonde beauty said: "Yes! I think Brad is very, very handsome."

But whoever Kate goes on to date she won't speak about them publicly until she has introduced them to her kids, Ryder, 12, and five-year-old Bingham, who she has from relationships with Chris Robinson and Matt respectively.

She recently said: "The reason I don't talk about anything like that is because I have kids.

"People ask that question as if, 'Oh yeah, it's really healthy to publicly talk about who I am or am not dating when I've got a tween.'

[Ryder] can read, and he can hear. I'm not going to indulge in that kind of thing until there's someone in my life who I am introducing to my kids."

Kate has also admitted "forgiveness" is a big part of life when a relationship ends.

She said: "I think forgiveness is the biggest part of it ... I think everybody wants to point fingers.

"If you are a person who takes responsibility for yourself and your part in it, you have a much better chance of maintaining a nice relationship. It also means that you grow up. A lot of people don't want to grow up because it sucks."
