Nick Cannon is still "broken" from his divorce with Mariah Carey

The 'America's Got Talent' host split from the 'Hero' hitmaker, with whom he has five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, in early 2014 bu he doesn't feel ready to date anyone else at the moment because he's still healing from his heartbreaking split from the pop diva.

Speaking to 'Extra', he said when asked if he'd date: "I'm broken, I'm not ready."

The 36-year-old presenter has sparked speculation he has a soft spot for TLC singer Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas after they packed on the affectionate display in his new music video for his single 'If I Was Your Man' but, despite admitting they'd make a "cute couple" one day, he's adamant they're not an officially couple at the moment because he has stuff to work out.

He said of the 45-year-old star: "She's an amazing woman."

Host Tracey Edmonds added: "Y'all would be cute together," to which Nick agreed: "We would be."

However, although Nick is still struggling to move on, Mariah didn't have any trouble finding love again, as before their divorce was finalised, she started dating billionaire James Packer.

Earlier this year, the pair announced they were engaged and were planning to tie the knot in a private ceremony surrounded by their friends and family in James' native country Australia.

Nick, on the other hand, has no interested in getting hitched again because he believes the 46-year-old singer will always be the love of his life.

He said recently: "That messes everything up [getting married again]. That takes the fairy tale out of it. Cinderella didn't get married, she just lived happily ever after [...] It's one of those things, I'm a hopeless romantic too. Through this learning process, you never say never.

"To me one thing I know, that will always be the love of my life, always be my family and that's never going to change. It's extremely disappointing when you see that people just want to perpetuate negativity when there is no negativity even involved."
