Sir Tom Jones is still struggling to come to terms with the death of his wife Linda

The 76-year-old star lost his wife of 59 years to cancer in April, but Sir Tom has admitted he still hears Linda's voice in his sleep and is yet to overcome his heartbreak.

He shared: "I hear her voice. I see her a lot at night.

"When I dream that she's still here and then I wake up and she's not, that's the hardest."

Sir Tom also revealed he has not considered finding love again following the death of his wife.

He told the Sunday People newspaper: "I haven't even thought about that - I really haven't.

"It was a devastating thing ¬because we found out she had lung cancer - she didn't know. She had emphysema, you see, then all of a sudden, boom. I was on tour at the time and I came home and they didn't know how long we had.

"It was terminal. So I had to stop at that point and I didn't know whether I would be able to sing again because it hurt so much because we had been together since we were kids.

"It's still hard. I didn't know whether I'd be able to get up on stage and be emotional with songs, especially songs that she liked. But I can be and it's lifted me up and she's there."

Prior to her passing, Sir Tom described his wife as the "most important thing in my life".

The 'She's a Lady' hitmaker explained: "An unbelievable woman. Linda is the love of my life and she still is, even though she doesn't look like she did. I don't look like I did, ¬either, but I try my best."
