Felicity Jones "nearly killed" Tom Hanks on the set of 'Inferno'

The 33-year-old star was driving her co-star around on set when she accidentally knocked the car into a wall whilst turning a corner.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she said: "The Italian streets are really tiny, and for some reason my character had the most enormous car they could find.

"So. just as I was very kind of coolly trying to turn this corner, I was staying in line as I was turning it, I basically bashed the entire side of the car with Tom in ... into the side of the wall. It was nearly sort of game over, but luckily he was very cool - he didn't say anything."

Meanwhile, the actress previously praised Tom, 60, insisting he's not been "corrupted" by fame.

He said: "I felt totally embraced by him. He is so unegotistical - he hasn’t been in any way corrupted by fame ...

"I am quite fortunate, because I can still be quite incognito. If you go out looking for attention then you’ll attract it, but if you’re just getting on with your life, particularly in London where everyone is engrossed in what they’re doing, you can keep a measure of anonymity."

And Felicity has revealed she had to work hard on her fitness for her role in 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story'.

She explained: "I've never done this level of physical preparation for something before. Particularly for 'Rogue One', where I was training every day and doing kung fu rehearsals on a daily basis. But that's part of the reason why I wanted to do it, because it was very different from what I'd done before."
