Nick Cannon thinks become a father for the third time is "outstanding"

The 'America's Got Talent' host - who already has five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey - is thrilled to be expecting a baby with former girlfriend Brittany Bell.

He gushed: "It's outstanding. Honestly they say even in unexpected situations, you still embrace the beauty of bringing a life into this world, because that is what life is all about."

The 36-year-old star recently spent Thanksgiving in Hawaii with his ex-wife and their twins because he feels it is important to put the kids first.

He told 'Entertainment Tonight': "Yeah man, it's all about the kids."

Nick previously joked he was "doing the Lord's work" when he confirmed Brittany is having his baby.

Asked about Brittany's pregnancy, he said: "Who said it wasn't mine?

"I've got a baby on the way ... absolutely ... God said be fruitful and multiply.

"I'm doing the Lord's work ... everybody get a baby! I'm passing them out."

While he was open about his baby, Nick, played coy when asked about Mariah's recent split from fiance James Packer.

After being told "Mariah's available again", he replied:

"Is she? You know better than me. Is she?"

And after he was then informed the couple have called off their engagement, Nick acted surprised and said: "Did they? I thought they was working it out.

"I'm on a need-to-know basis. As long as my kids are good...I don't want to know none of that other stuff."

Last month, Brittany - who is believed to be around six months pregnant - enjoyed a baby shower with her friends, including fellow former Miss USA contestants.

Sharing a photo of her pals touching her growing tummy, she wrote on Instagram: "A sweet moment of #celebration with a few of the many incredible women in my life. Missing the rest of you.

"Miss USA /Miss Universe not only puts you in a rare sisterhood no money can buy.. but your child ends up with some of the most naturally beautiful, sweetest, and strongest women from around the country/world to call Aunties!!(sic)"
