Andrew Garfield still "loves" his ex-girlfriend Emma Stone

The 33-year-old actor split from the 'Easy A' star in April 2015 following four years of on/off dating but it seems he'll always have a soft spot for her as he admitted he'd choose her out of anyone else in the world to be stranded on a desert island with.

Asked who he'd choose to have with him if he was dropped on an island, he told 'The Hollywood Reporter': "Emma Stone. I love Emma. She's all right. She can come."

And it seems the feeling is mutual as the 28-year-old beauty recently admitted that she's been having a tough time since she ended her relationship with Andrew.

She said: "He's (Andrew) someone I still love very much. It's (the year since the split) been interesting. It's been a good year. And sad. Pros and cons."

Since their split, neither of them have struck up a relationship with anyone else but Emma did set tongues wagging in March when she and Austin Stowell were reportedly spotted flirting up a storm on the set of their then-new movie 'Battle of the Sexes'.

A source said at the time: "Emma and Austin are inseparable. There's a real connection there. They have the same sense of humour and are constantly teasing each other in between takes about how sexy they look in the funky 1970s-inspired get-ups they have to wear. The cast and crew are always saying what a cute couple they make. Emma and Austin try to brush it off, but you should see the way they blush!"

However, it's highly unlikely the strawberry-haired beauty will want to strike up a romance with anyone else in the film industry any time soon as it's believed her and Andrew called time on their romance because of their conflicting work schedules.

An insider said at the time: "There was no drama, they've been apart while working. They still care about each other. They still have love for one another. They are on good terms with each other and remain close."
