Ricky Martin has revealed he'd like to have a daughter with his fiancé Jwan Yosef

The 45-year-old 'She Bangs' hitmaker is already father to two children - eight-year-old twins Matteo and Valentino - born via a surrogate mother and whom he now raises with his partner Jwan Yosef, but he is keen to become a dad again.

Ricky, who recently performed at the Sanremo Music Festival (Festival di Sanremo) in Sanremo (Liguria, a coastal region of north-western Italy) on Tuesday (07.02.17), told local radio station RTL 102.5 about his plans to extend his family.

When asked how his children are, he shared: "Bello, bello. They are beautiful, they are eight years old. They are beautiful twin boys and they are growing like crazy. And now I want more, I want a little girl pretty soon."

Ricky started dating Syrian Swedish painter Jwan Yosef in April 2016 and the pair announced their engagement on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' on November 16, 2016.

But it was during Ricky's 14 year on-off relationship with Mexican TV host Rebecca de Alba he had first spoken about wanting to become a father.

But it was after they split in August 2008 that Ricky became father to his twin boys via a surrogate.

He was often questioned about his sexual orientation following the success of his number one hit 'Livin' la Vida Loca' and previously dec lared: "I don't think I should have to tell anyone if I am gay or not, or who I've slept with or not."

But Ricky publicly acknowledged his homosexuality in a brave post on his official website on March 29, 2010, which read: "I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am. These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within, and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn't even know existed."

He previously dated economist Carlos Gonzalez Abella but they split in 2014.

And Ricky, a big supporter of same sex marriage, has just revealed he has just moved house with his new fiancé.

He said: "I'm not married yet, but I'm engaged. It has been very beautiful. We just moved to Los Angeles and it has been very special. It has been a very beautiful year together."
