Nick Cannon has welcomed a baby boy

The 36-year-old former 'America's Got Talent' presenter - who has five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with former wife Mariah Carey - welcomed son Golden Sagon Cannon into the world with former girlfriend Brittany Bell on Tuesday (21.02.17).

Nick shared a picture of himself and the baby on Instagram and wrote: "Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy cometh in the morning! No matter how hard the world may hit you, God always reminds us of our purpose! #TrueHappiness. Welcome to Earth Son! Golden "Sagon" Cannon 2/21/17 #Awakened (sic)."

Nick previously gushed that he couldn't wait to welcome his third child.

He said: "It's outstanding. Honestly, they say even in unexpected situations, you still embrace the beauty of bringing a life into this world, because that is what life is all about."

And he joked he was "doing God's work" when he confirmed that Brittany was having his baby.

about Brittany's pregnancy, he said: "Who said it wasn't mine?

"I've got a baby on the way ... absolutely ... God said be fruitful and multiply.

"I'm doing the Lord's work ... everybody get a baby! I'm passing them out."

Nick also admitted he was hoping for a boy.

He said: "Another little boy. I want a fighter. My son, Roc … I made him a tough dude. I like tough. I like to box, we do martial arts.

"My dad has five boys, no girls. I come from that culture like, 'Yo, let's just roughhouse and play.' It's gonna be a lot of fun."
