Catherine Zeta-Jones' children want to become actors

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live, she said: "You know, I know it’s going to be hard for them because they’ve got their grandfather, Kirk [Douglas], they’ve got me, they have Michael. But they so inherently love it and they’re good! They go to summer camp every year - they do like three musicals and straight plays - and they love it.

"I’ve had a wonderful life in this business, so if they want to do it, they know the hardships and the percentages of who makes it and who doesn’t. I just think that they’ve got the talent and I know that they have the drive."

It comes after Catherine described herself as a "dance mom".

She said: "I have a confession to make ... As I tell the truth for the first time in public, I am a dance mom. And I'm proud of it! And I'm proud to share it with you.

"And I love being a dance mom. I have to say I see it first-hand as my daughter partakes in the NYC Dance Alliance workshops ... and I love to watch those kids, and I love to see what they get, the nurturing, the fantastic amount of talented teachers."

And Catherine also admitted she was incredibly "nervous" ahead of her daughter's performance.

She added: "Mommy gets nervous for her. That's the way it goes these days: I get really nervous and she breezes through it. The way that my mom used to do for me ... it all comes around ...

"It feels great, because I love the dancer's life. It's been so good to me, and she's really passionate about it ... It's healthy competition and it really is the best tuition, the best training, coupled with what it is to have team spirit and work together and be kind to people."
