Kanye West is reportedly poised to release to new music after returning to good health

The controversial rap star allegedly suffered a breakdown towards the end of 2016, but after receiving treatment for his personal troubles, Kanye has returned to the recording studio and is now preparing to release new material.

A source explained: "He seems to be really well. He's got plans to put another album out and tour again, but he's managing his workload and taking it slower."

Kanye, 39, has recently returned his focus to making music and fans of the 'Famous' hitmaker can reportedly expect him to release new material in the near future.

Another source told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: "He's been in the studio. He'll likely release something soon."

The claims come shortly after it was reported Kanye spends "hours" talking to Caitlyn Jenner on the phone, with an insider saying the pair have developed a "deep connection".

Kanye turned to the 'I Am Cait' star - who, before her transition, was previously married to Kanye's mother-in-law Kris Jenner - for "counselling" as he recently tried to get his life back on track.

A source said: "Caitlyn has been counselling Kanye over the past few months and they often talk for hours on the phone or at her Malibu home, which has become a refuge for him."

Kanye and Caitlyn have formed a close friendship on the back of their respective struggles with depression.

The insider explained: "[Kanye] feels a deep connection with Caitlyn, who has had bouts of depression and struggled in the limelight, which Kanye can relate to."

Caitlyn, meanwhile, has previously credited Kanye for helping their family to be more "open minded" when the Olympian first voiced her intention to transition from Bruce.
