    Hamilton husband murder accused in court

    The woman accused of murdering her husband in a Hamilton East flat earlier this month can now be named.


    The woman accused of murdering her husband in a Hamilton flat earlier this month can now named.

    Carol Takua Waa, 61, appeared via video link in the High Court at Hamilton on Tuesday morning and was further remanded in custody without plea until her next scheduled appearance in June.

    Her lawyer, Kerry Burroughs, has indicated he will seek bail before then, with a possible one-week jury trial set down for August.

    The body of Gerald Wiremu Waa, 55, was found in the couple's home on Te Aroha Street, Hamilton East, on March 11.
