    Snorkeller's body found off Kaikoura

A man's body has been found off the Kaikoura Peninsula after a snorkeller went missing over the weekend.

A man's body has been found off the Kaikoura Peninisula after a snorkeller went missing over the weekend.

The body was found on Monday evening, following a search which started on Sunday when a man who'd been snorkelling in East Head failed to return, Sergeant Jason Munro says.

Formal identification is still underway and police haven't released any more details.
