Nadine Coyle is "very excited" about Cheryl becoming a mother

The Girls Aloud star is thrilled her bandmate is expecting her first child with boyfriend Liam Payne but admits she barely ever talks to Cheryl.

She told OK! magazine: "I’m so, so excited. It’s the most exciting time, scary but wonderful ... I haven’t seen her in a long time, I really, really haven’t. But I’m very, very happy for her and very, very excited for her."

Meanwhile, Liam previously admitted Cheryl has always been his "dream girl".

He said: "This is the thing. In a non-cliché way, it's weird waking up every day and literally living out your dream. You wake up in the most beautiful places.

"Obviously I have the most beautiful girlfriend in the world and she's absolutely amazing. She's been my dream girl since I was younger. She's so ace."

Whilst Liam didn't mention Cheryl's pregnancy, the former One Direction star admitted it is a very "precious" time for the couple.

He gushed: "We're super happy. It's a very personal, precious time for us ...

"She is a wonderful, wonderful person and it's amazing to have someone who can relate to so much of things -- someone who's taken greater steps than me.

"Her solo career was amazing. She's been in the industry for 14 years now. She fully supports me."

And Cheryl and Liam are gearing up for the arrival of their little bundle of joy.

A source said last month: "The rumour mill has been rife that the birth is imminent and there have even been claims she's in labour already but that's not the case at all.

"She's still a little way off and has been enjoying the build-up as well as focusing on her charity announcement which is a really big deal for her."
