Cara Santana won't sleep with Jesse Metcalfe until they are married

The 32-year-old actress announced her engagement to Jesse, 38, last August, but has now revealed their lovemaking has been put on ice until they tie the knot.

She shared: "I won't sleep with Jesse before the wedding so maybe he'll have blue ... balls."

Cara also revealed she has already identified the perfect dress for her big day.

She told presenter Diana Madison's show: "I am going to wear my mom's [dress]! I'm going to modernise it, but I'm going to wear my mom's. My mom's dress is beautiful.

"It had everything I wanted - a really long lace arms, a high neck, and we're going to modernise the bottom of it but it's in pristine condition."

Jesse, on the other hand, has previously admitted he is happy to let his wife-to-be to organise their wedding day.

He said: "We're locking down a venue right now. It's gonna be on the East Coast, and that's all I can tell you!"

Jesse also revealed that while Cara keeps him updated on their wedding plans, she has the final say on most matters.

He explained: "She kinda runs everything by me, so if something jumps out at me and I'm like, 'No! I definitely don't want that,' then I kinda get to put my two cents in. But for the most part, it's her party."

However, Jesse revealed he would like to have some say in the music played on his wedding day.

The former 'Desperate Housewives' actor - who dated Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle from 2005 until 2008 - said: "I feel strongly about the music and I think we both agree and feel strongly that we just want to create an environment and throw a great party that everyone enjoys."
