Jared Padalecki has become a father for the third time

The 34-year-old actor and his wife Genevieve Cortese welcomed their first daughter Odette into the world on March 17, and revealed the news to the world via a tweet posted on Monday (27.03.17).

Genevieve – who already has sons Thomas, five, and Shepherd, three, with the ‘Gilmore Girls’ actor – wrote next to a picture of Odette featuring two heart tags displaying her name and date of birth: “Introducing baby Odette Elliott Padalecki!! I collaborated w/ @popandsuki to raise funds for @PPact + @HRC! http://popandsuki.com/padalecki (sic)”

Genevieve’s collaboration with customisable accessories brand Pop and Suki – which was founded by Poppy Jamie and Suki Waterhouse – lets customers purchase the heart shaped bag tags featured in the adorable snap, and will see $20 of the $40 price tag shared between charities Planned Parenthood and the Human Rights Campaign.

Jared first announced the news of his expanding brood in November, during an appearance on ‘Live! With Kelly’.

He said at the time: "I'm a father of two now about to be a father of three in March."

Jared and Genevieve first met on the set of 'Supernatural' while Genevieve, 36, was guest starring as the demon Ruby alongside Jared’s starring role as Sam Winchester, and they went on to tie the knot in her hometown of Sun Valley, Idaho, in 2010.

The hunk's busy career means he's regularly away for work but he has admitted he hates leaving his children, especially when they're so young, to shoot scenes because they seem to change and learn new things every single day.

He said previously: "It seems like every time I leave something new happens. Last time I left, I got a video. As soon as I land he's talking and I'm like, 'I just left!'. Yesterday I landed and my wife's like, 'Check your emails!' So I check my email and I get this video of him rolling over. It's so exciting but I miss that."
