    Auckland schools sent threatening emails

Four Auckland schools have been sent threatening emails, but police do not believe the threats are real.

Four Auckland schools have been sent threatening emails.

Police from Auckland's North Shore and western district visited each school and to undertake a search but found no evidence of the threats.

They did not reveal which schools had been threatened but said they don't believe the threats are credible.

"However, we need to go through a process to establish this is the case and ensure the safety of the students," Acting Inspector Jason Homan says.
