    Fatal crash between campervan and car

    One person is dead after a campervan and car collided near Gore.


    One person has died after a campervan and a car crashed at Otaraia near Gore.

    The accident happened at the intersection of Andrews Road and Old Coach Road at 4.30pm on Friday, police say.

    A helicopter has taken one person to Dunedin Hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

    An ambulance has taken another person to Invercargill Hospital.

    The serious crash unit is at the scene and diversions remain in place.
