    Shot fire during Auckland break-in

Two home intruders have fired a gun in an Auckland home overnight, leaving the occupants badly shaken but otherwise uninjured, police say.

Two alleged home intruders fired a gun during a robbery at an Auckland home overnight, police say.

The two men broke into the Mount Wellington home on Kotahi Road at about 2.40am on Saturday and fired the shot in the kitchen, a police spokeswoman says.

The incident appeared to be an aggravated robbery, she said.

Those inside the house were badly shaken but otherwise uninjured.
