    Nelson dairy robbed at gunpoint

Four people have been involved in the gunpoint robbery of a Nelson dairy, where they made off with cash and cigarettes in a stolen SUV.

Staff at a Nelson dairy have been robbed at gunpoint before the offenders made off in a stolen SUV.

Two men wearing gloves and with their faces covered entered the Victory Discounter Dairy on Sunday evening and threatened a shopworker with a firearm, police say.

They took cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene in a White Audi Q7, where another two people had been waiting.

The vehicle was reported stolen on Friday and the original number plate had been replaced with the plate KCF800. It was later abandoned in Moncrieff Avenue.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the robbery or the car's movements to contact them.
