    Bail for Waikato murder accused

The dairy farmer accused of murdering his partner Kim Richmond has been granted bail.

The man accused of the murder of Waikato mother-of- three Kim Richmond has been granted bail.

Cory Scott Jefferies, 45, appeared in the High Court at Hamilton on Tuesday morning, where his bail application was approved.

Jefferies, a dairy farmer, was in a long-term relationship with 42-year-old Ms Richmond when she disappeared in July last year.

It's alleged the pair had an altercation at a social gathering before he killed Ms Richmond.

Her body was recovered from nearby Lake Arapuni last month after police divers found her missing Ford Ranger 6m below the surface.

Jefferies has entered a plea of not guilty to murder and was further remanded in custody until his next court appearance on October 24.
