    Kiwi electrocuted at funeral in Tonga

    A south Auckland man has died in Tonga after he was electrocuted while attending his fathers funeral, according to local media.

    A south Auckland man was electrocuted and died while he was attending his fathers funeral in Tonga, according to a report.

    Isileli Palu, 36, from Otara, died on Thursday, the Kaniva Tonga news site said.

    He had been helping to erect tents for the funeral, and Tongan police say he touched an electrical cord and was electrocuted.

    Mr Palu died instantly, police said
