Kim Cattrall thinks Sarah Jessica Parker “could have been nicer” following the news of ‘Sex In The City 3’s cancellation

The 61-year-old actress - who starred as Samantha Jones in the hit TV show and two subsequent movies - was recently accused of making “diva demands” which brought production of a third film to a halt, and although she has since taken to Twitter to deny making such demands, she has now hit out at her former co-star for her comments on the reports.

Sarah Jessica, 52, said she was “disappointed” that the movie would not be going ahead as planned, and Kim believes she should have stuck up for her, rather than failing to mention the demand speculation.

In a new interview with Piers Morgan as part of his ITV series ‘Life Stories’, Kim said: “And now, now at this very moment it’s quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something that I’ve been saying for almost a year of ‘no’ that I’m demanding or a diva.

“And this is really where I take to task the people from ‘Sex And The City’ and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker in that I think she could have been nicer. I really think she could have been nicer.”

After news of the project’s cancellation, Sarah Jessica revealed she felt bad for fans of the series who wouldn’t get to see the “beautiful” story they had planned for the third instalment.

She said: “It’s over … we’re not doing it. I’m disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie.”

Meanwhile, Kim recently took to social media to slam the idea that her “demands” had anything to do with the cancellation of the movie.

Hitting out at the report - which was originated by Daily Mail TV - Kim wrote: "Woke 2 a @MailOnline [s**t]storm! The only 'DEMAND' I ever made was that I didn't want to do a 3rd film....& that was back in
