Jennifer Lopez has postponed three dates of her Las Vegas residency in the wake of the horrific shooting which took place in the city on Sunday (01.10.17)

The 48-year-old singer has decided not to take to the stage as part of her ‘Jennifer Lopez: All I Have’ residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for the rest of this week, out of respect of those affected by the shooting which killed 59 people and injured 527 more at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival.

Jennifer was due to perform on Wednesday (04.10.17), Friday (06.10.17), and Saturday (07.10.17), but instead ticket holders will be offered the chance to get a refund, or exchange their tickets for other performances where available.

A press release statement read: "Jennifer is heartbroken that such a senseless tragedy occurred. Her thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.”

It comes after country singer Jason Aldean - who was on stage when the shooting took place - expressed his heartbreak at the “horrific”

    events.

He wrote on Instagram shortly after the tragedy: "Tonight has been beyond horrific. I still dont know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe. My Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night. #heartbroken #stopthehate (sic)”

And Mariah Carey - who has had a residency in the city - was appalled by the tragedy after the news was broken to her live on television.

She said: "This is horrible and I pray for the victims - and have they caught the shooter yet "That's awful - I pray for the victims and I hope that all this can stop as soon as possible. I spent a lot of time in Vegas and this type of thing happening anywhere is a huge tragedy and I hope we have an end to this as soon as possible.

"It's terrible because people are just going out to listen to music and they're out for the night and then something shocking like this could happen ... it's wrong, I just don't know what to say."
