    Akarana defend premiership title

The Akarana Falcons hammer Waikato to record back-to-back national premiership rugby league titles.

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The Auckland-based Akarana Falcons have defended their national premiership rugby league title, beating Waikato 30-4 in a resounding final win in Auckland.

Up 12-0 at halftime, the Falcons virtually wrapped up the outcome when Taylor Daniels and captain Philip Kingi crossed for converted tries soon after the break.

Daniels was named player of the match at Mt Smart Stadium.
