    One seriously injured in Mosgiel crash

    A person with serious injuries has been taken to hospital after a car crashed near Mosgiel.


    A person has been taken to Dunedin Hospital from a car crash near Mosgiel, south of Dunedin.

    The single-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of Tirohanga Road and Outram-Mosgiel Road just before 3pm on Saturday, police said.

    Police originally said two people were trapped but later reported only one person was in the car. The person was taken to Dunedin Hospital with serious injuries.

    The road is expected to remain closed for some time as the Serious Crash Unit completes its work at the scene.
