Kate Moss is like "family" to Liv Tyler

The 'Armageddon' star has revealed she is super close to the 43-year-old model, who she has described as "magical".

Liv told The Mail on Sunday's You magazine: "She is my family. She’s magical - so special. There is no one else like her. She is captivating and riveting; a thinker, a reader, a feeler. Whatever 'it' is, she has it. She is so alive. She can go through the trash and find something gorgeous, and has a way of bringing things to life."

Kate recently threw Liv a party at her Cotswolds home and she had previously gushed about how amazing it was.

She said: "It was really sweet. I just wanted to be with my family and a couple of my best friends and have a garden party in the afternoon and just be together. I didn't want a massive ... rave-type thing. I don't like the pressure of planned parties. I love it when it happens by accident.

"It's probably the New Yorker in me, where you might go to dinner with friends, then end up in some amazing basement on the corner, drinking whisky and there's a brilliant juke box. And I don't really like lots of attention, so the idea of a big birthday party just made me feel stressed out."

And it was previously claimed Liv wanted Kate to be godmother to her daughter Lula, now 15 months.

A source said at the time: "Liv and Kate are close friends and confidantes and Kate was asked to be Godmother earlier this year when a group of friends were on holiday in Marrakesh.

"Kate was spending time with the couple and her daughter and admitted that being asked to be a godmother again definitely had her feeling maternal."
