    Person found dead at Whangarei Heads

    Police are conducting inquiries after being alerted to a person being found dead on the rocks at Whangarei Heads in Northland.


    A person has been found dead on the rocks at Whangarei Heads in Northland.

    Police were notified of the discovery of the body at the heads, which is about 30km south-east of Whangarei, around 6.15pm on Wednesday.

    They say they are conducting inquiries to establish the circumstances and no further information is available at this stage.
