Jon Bernthal has claimed Kevin Spacey was "a bit of a bully" on the set of 'Baby Driver'

Spacey, 58, is currently receiving treatment and evaluating his behaviour at an Arizona rehab centre after being accused of sexual harassment and assault by a number of men, including Richard Dreyfuss' son Harry and Star Trek: Discovery's Anthony Rapp

Now, Bernthal has lifted the lid on what his disgraced co-star was like on the set of the action thriller, directed by Edgar Wright and released this summer.

The 41-year-old actor had been thrilled when he discovered he would be working with his idol Spacey on the movie but his excitement quickly turned to disappointment when he witnessed his bullying behaviour on set.

When quizzed about Spacey on the Jim Norton and Sam Roberts Show on SiriusXM, Bernthal said: "Going on to that set and working with him, I wasn't there much, but when I was there, he really rubbed me the wrong way. I thought he was a bit of a bully. I didn't really care for the way he was behaving toward some of the other people on set."

Without going into specifics about Spacey's actions but suggesting that it was almost exclusively towards men, Bernthal added: "I think he was acting toward people in a way that I remember at the time thinking, 'Man, if that was a woman that he was talking to, I would've done something, I would've said something.' I was really happy to sort of get out of there for that reason, and I just remember losing a ton of respect for him. I think it would be weak of me to sort of pile on about some s**t that I don't know about, but the kind of man he was when I saw him, working with him, made me lose all respect for him and I was enormously disappointed."

In 'Baby Driver', Spacey played crime kingpin Doc and Bernthal was one of his gang Griff.

Rapp publicly accused Spacey of making unwanted sexual advances on him when he was 14 years old at a party hosted at the Oscar winner's home in 1986.

In the wake of his allegation, Spacey issued a statement insisting he couldn't remember the incident and apologised for what would have been "deeply inappropriate drunken behavior" if true and also came out as gay.
