    Pedestrian critical after being hit by bus

    A man is in critical condition in hospital after being hit by a bus in central Wellington.


    A central Wellington street has re-opened after a bus hit a pedestrian.

    The accident occurred at about 2.20pm on Thursday at the intersection of Manners and Willis streets.

    The person knocked over is in hospital with critical injuries, police say.

    Manners Street was closed for a time between Willis and Victoria streets but has since re-opened.
