    Teen charged after Hastings attack

Police are seeking two more people following an attack on a teen in Hastings, with a 14-year-old boy already charged.

Hastings police have tracked down a 14-year-old they believe was involved in a serious attack on a fellow teen, but are still hunting for two more.

The attack happened early on a Sunday morning last month in Flaxmere's Ron Giorgi Park. Three people beat up a 14-year-old boy, putting him in hospital.

Another 14-year-old boy appeared in the Hastings District Youth Court on Monday on charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and theft, Detective Constable Steve Leonard said.

He thanked the public and the boys' families for their help so far.

"Police believe a number of individuals were involved in the assault, and are seeking to hold a further two people to account," he said.
