Pink scaled a 34-floor hotel for her performance at the American Music Awards on Sunday (19.11.17)

The 38-year-old singer gave a show-stopping rendition of 'Beautiful Trauma', the title track from her new album, while suspended on the side of Los Angeles' JW Marriott

Pink - who was backed by a team of dancers - didn't miss a note as she scaled the windows of the building while showing off some somersaults and other acrobatic moves, but she'd admitted before the show she was worried she wouldn't be able to pull off the daring display.

In an Instagram video posted on Friday (17.11.17), she said: "I'm just afraid I'm going to get up there and be like, 'I don't know if I can do this.' I don't care about heights. I just care about being able to actually breathe up there...

"This is by far the craziest, most insane thing I've ever attempted to do. This is the first time that I've ever panicked."

And after the event, the 'What About Us' singer revealed she and dance group Bandaloop had learned their risky routine in just five days.

In a social media post, she wrote: "Yeah... we did that. Bandaloop. They are the most incredible group of daring performers. They put me to shame, but still opened up their art form to me.

"THANK YOU to everyone that helped us to make this dream happen. THANK YOU to the American Music Awards for taking a chance with me. It was something none of us had ever imagined could be possible."

"It was the scariest thing I have ever done, and we did it all in five days. Start to finish. Hell yeah. I love you bandaloop. (sic)"

Earlier in the evening, Pink kept her feet firmly on the ground as she and Kelly Clarkson opened the ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, with an emotional cover of R.E.M.'s 'Everybody Hurts'.

The performance, which was a tribute to the first responders who had worked at various natural disasters, shootings, and other tragedies over the last year, got a standing ovation from the audience.
