Jason Momoa has collaborated with SurfboardWarehouse to create an exclusive range of paddle boards

The 38-year-old actor has joined forces with the label to design a collection of 100 limited edition Mano boards, and the dark-haired hunk's artwork have been hailed as the "most intricate" patterns emblazoned on the water sport equipment ever created as it was inspired by the 'Justice League' star's shark tattoos

The Surfboard Warehouse website states: "Jason (AKA Aquaman) has tapped into his prominent Hawaiian heritage and named this extravagant board after the Hawaiian word for shark 'Mano;. Jason's trademark Mano Tattoos had a huge influence in the final design concepts for his board. This is by far the most intricate board design we have ever been challenged with and the results are astounding."

The boards have been created with specific features, including a flyer above the fin, a "rolled vee" and a heightened entry rocker to add "extra drive" when darting through the waves.

The site explained: "The shape of this board differs a lot in comparison with most of the Atlantis range. Notable features are the four prominent Channels which have been designed to add extra drive and traction through turns. Jason installed a flyer above the fin area which increases manoeuvrability when turning off the tail. This mixed with a rolled vee through the channel area also creates better rail to rail transition. The Mano offers heightened entry rocker to allow for steeper take offs and also a high tail rocker to also help manoeuvrability.

"The Mano has been constructed out of high quality materials sourced from the best suppliers from around the globe.

"The Mano SUP boasts a 12 piece grip that features over 200 cut-outs that resemble Jason's Mano Tattoo. A perfectly balanced removable 4 + 1 fin system allows you to run 3 different fin configurations. This gives the rider multiple choices for differing water/wave conditions. The fin plugs have been expertly installed into PVC/Divinicell High density foam block that have been impregnated and then shaped into the blank. Customised dual leash plugs keep the board safe and all Mano boards are fitted with the Atlantis signature agronomical handle."

Jason - who portrays Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe films - also designed the merchandise based on his love of heading to the beach with his children Lola, 10, Nakoa-Wolf, eight, and his wife Lisa Bonet.

The site read: "Jason explains this as a 'family orientated' decision and focused on the time he spends at the beach with his family and considers these sizes as boards anyone can paddle or surf."

The 'Game of Thrones' heartthrob also created the item to enhance "performance surfers" as well as the "all-rounder".

The website continued: "Jason requested that the dimensions of his smaller sizes (9'2 and under) were tailored for performance surfers. The rails are a bit lower, the width and thickness are also refined. However the 9'8 and 10'4 are very much geared to the "all-rounder" and boast widths above 32 inches and more volume throughout the shape

Jason has also requested for $100 made from each purchase to be donated to Surfaid - a nonprofit humanitarian organisation that provides welfare support to those living in isolate regions but share a passion for surfing - as well as the Mauli Ola Foundation, which provides ocean-based activities to people suffering with genetic diseases.

Jason's Mano boards will be available to buy in February next year.
