Three foreign nationals have been charged after police busted an alleged cocaine supply ring in Wellington.
Two Columbian nationals, aged in their 20s and 30s, and a Malaysian man in his 50s were caught with about one kilogram of cocaine when arrested in Lower Hutt on Wednesday morning, police said.
They face charges including supplying cocaine and possessing for supply, and are due in Wellington District Court on Thursday.
Members of the National Crime Group operation also searched a number of other properties where they seized a further 350g of the class-A drug.
Detective Inspector Stu Graham said police would continue to work with international partners and Customs to "target those people who choose to bring harmful drugs into New Zealand".
