All Blacks Sevens tweaked for South Africa

Coach Clark Laidlaw has made two changes to his 12-strong squad for the rugby sevens world series tournament in Cape Town.

All Blacks Sevens coach Clark Laidlaw has made a couple of changes in naming his 12-strong squad for the South African leg of the rugby sevens world series this weekend.

The New Zealanders made an encouraging start to the 10-leg circuit last week in Dubai, going further than in any tournament last season in reaching the final where they were beaten 24-12 by defending series champions South Africa.

Teddy Stanaway and Kurt Baker have replaced Tone Ng Shiu and Isaac Te Tamaki in Cape Town, where the Kiwis begin their campaign with pool matches against the United States, Spain and Australia early on Sunday (NZT).

The All Blacks Sevens last year finished fourth in the competition, and didn't manage to win one of the 10 tournaments.

All Blacks Sevens: Scott Curry, Tim Mikkelson, Teddy Stanaway, Joe Ravouvou, Dylan Collier, Vilimoni Koroi, Sam Dickson, Andrew Knewstubb, Regan Ware, Kurt Baker, Joe Webber, Sione Molia.
