Dwayne Johnson has shelved plans to run for president of the United States

Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, he quipped: "It's been very flattering. There’s been this really interesting uptick in public opinion, [people] wanting that to happen. The problem is that [Kevin Hart] will completely sabotage the campaign in 2020, 2024. He'll literally sabotage it from the inside."

Whilst Kevin Hart jokingly added: "100%. I will take you down. I don't want it to happen because it will make you that much better than me, and I just don't want it. I would sabotage it in a heartbeat."

Back in May, Dwayne admitted running for president is a "real possibility" and says he has been considering moving into politics "more and more".

He shared: "I think that it's a real possibility. A year ago, it started coming up more and more. There was a real sense of earnestness, which made me go home and think 'Let me really rethink my answer and make sure I am giving an answer that is truthful and also respectful ...

"Personally, I feel that if I were president, poise would be important. Leadership would be important. Taking responsibility for everybody. [If I didn't agree with someone] on something, I wouldn't shut them out. I would actually include them. The first thing we'd do is we'd come and sit down and we'd talk about it. We all have issues, and we all gotta work our s**t out. And I feel like one of the qualities of a great leader is not shutting people out. I miss that part. Even if we disagree, we've got to figure it out."
