Aloisi looks to 'winners' to revive Roar

Coach John Aloisi is remaining positive as the Brisbane Roar aim to move up from ninth on the A-League table.

Brisbane coach John Aloisi is placing faith in his experienced squad members to lift the A-League side off the canvas as pressure builds at the Roar.

Only ahead of embattled Wellington on the ladder, the Roar have mustered just two wins and four draws from 12 games to sit six points outside the top six.

The side's struggles were added to last Thursday when Perth scored two late goals to upset the Roar 2-1 at Suncorp Stadium.

Aloisi has done his best to keep a level head as injuries and tight calls worked against the side and says he still sees a light at the end of the tunnel.

"The ladder doesn't lie, we are where we are," he said.

"But we know that if we win a couple of games we're in the top six.

"And we've got winners in our side ... I look around and see Thomas Kristensen, (Matt) McKay and (Massimo) Maccarone.

"All these guys have won trophies and know how to win football games."

Brisbane play fourth-placed Adelaide United on Saturday at Coopers Stadium, with teenagers Dane Ingham, Daniel Leck, Nick D'Agostino and Rahmat Akbari all included in the 18-man squad.

"We've matched everyone; I can't remember a game going away thinking we've been outplayed," Aloisi said.

"We showed we can play and create chances against everyone and Adelaide is one of them.

"I want to get that winning feeling back again, because we've got winners in our side."
