A group of people have been pulled from a car that's gone off a cliff in Waitomo District
Emergency services were told a car had gone off the cliff on Rauparaha Street in Marokopa about 11.30am on Sunday, police say.
The car travelled some distance down the cliff, with reports suggesting it could have been as far as 80 metres through bush and into a gully.
Rescue crews had since pulled the vehicle's occupants out, police said.
St John ambulance said three people at the scene had been taken to Waikato Hospital with moderate injuries, while a fourth was checked by staff but was not injured.
A rescue helicopter was sent to the scene but later stood down.
