    One dead in Canterbury road crash

    One person has died and another is seriously injured after a crash between a car and a motorcycle near Christchurch.


    One person has died and another person has received serious injuries after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle near Christchurch.

    The crash happened by the Summit Road and Dyers Pass Road intersection just after 5pm on Wednesday.

    Police say the road will be closed for some time as emergency services work at the crash scene, and traffic is being diverted back down Hackthorne Road.
