    Person dead after Whakamarama crash

    One person has died after a crash between two vehicles in the western Bay of Plenty.

    One person has died at the scene of an accident between two vehicles in Whakamarama in the western Bay of Plenty.

    The car and van collided on State Highway 2 at about 11.40pm on Saturday.

    One person died at the scene and three others were transported to Tauranga Hospital with serious injuries.
